Trump’s twitter account-a tool of controversy

Public figures and especially politicians around the world use Twitter to convey their thoughts to the masses, but Donald Trump took it to a new and ridiculous level. Trump’s Twitter account not only became a tool for policy announcement, a medium for criticism and bullying but also a center of political controversy. Donald Trump did not spare any section of the society. Even the judge who took down his racist "Muslim Travel ban" order was mocked by Trump on his Twitter account.

Trump’s Twitter account has been the origin of many out of context and inappropriate remarks. During his election Campaign, President Trump used Twitter heavily to attack his rivals and especially the then President Barack Obama and Trump’s opposing presidential hopeful, Hillary Clinton. He also made some outrageous remarks against his party men during his run for Republican candidature.
Trump criticized Obama by making these comments against him on his Twitter account.

Trump’s Twitter account Post-elections

It is generally seen that candidates during election campaigns launch vicious attacks on opponents to malign them and to gain public attention. But such things fade out once elections are over. In the case of Donald Trump, the trend has remained same before and after the elections.

Donald Trump’s Twitter account has been active as ever even after his presidential win. When a judge overruled Muslim Travel Ban, Trump took to the Twitter and called the respected judge as the so-called judge. He even ridiculed the court order by saying that judge’s ruling will be overturned.

Donald Trump’s Twitter account also issued a warning to the lawyers who were protesting against his racist presidential orders to ban Muslims’ entry into the United States of America.

Donald Trump also took a big fight with the more liberal outlets like CNN and New York Times etc.

He even called New York Times a disgrace to the media in one of his tweets.

He also talked much about his foreign policy on his Twitter account whether it is the issue of ban on Muslims, whether it is the subject of border seal and construction of a wall along the Mexican border or whether it is the matter of Gulf-Qatar crisis.

In the Tweet given below, Trump is praising the homeland security for taking measures that resulted in the reduction of immigrants to the United States of America.

The President also took to the Twitter to condemn the investigations carried against him and his aides for their alleged relations with the Russian security establishment.

The use of social media on this level and the controversies stirred up due to its usage is unprecedented in the political history of America. Blunt remarks from Trump’s twitter account not only are creating problems on the internal front but also on the international front as evident from his comments against Qatar, which the United States considers as an ally.
